This disclaimer explains FlightNest's position on travel insurance, health preparation, medical declarations, and destination entry requirements.
FlightNest arranges travel services and document auditing support. We are not an insurer, medical practitioner, or clinic, and travellers remain responsible for securing adequate policy cover and confirming fitness to travel.
! Key Health & Insurance Points
Insurance Strongly Recommended
Travellers should arrange comprehensive cover as soon as a travel booking is confirmed.
Medical Responsibility
FlightNest is not a medical adviser; travellers must confirm fitness to travel with qualified professionals.
Entry Health Rules
Vaccination, medication, and destination health rules change frequently and must be verified prior to travel.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Medical conditions and pregnancy must be declared to insurers and carriers prior to departure.
1 Why Travel Insurance Matters
International travel can involve unexpected illness, injury, cancellations, lost documents, or baggage delays. FlightNest strongly recommends comprehensive travel insurance from the time of booking.
- • Medical Cover: Emergency medical treatment, hospital stays, and repatriation costs abroad can be substantial without insurance.
- • Cancellation Cover: A suitable policy helps recover losses if unexpected illness or family emergencies prevent travel.
- • Schengen Requirement: Schengen visa rules mandate minimum €30,000 medical travel insurance for all applicants.
2 GHIC and EHIC for European Travel
UK travellers visiting eligible European destinations may benefit from carrying a valid GHIC or EHIC card. However, GHIC/EHIC cards do not replace travel insurance and do not cover private treatment, mountain rescue, or repatriation.
