AIRLINE GUIDANCE

Flight Booking & Carriage Policy

Important rules for airline tickets, check-in deadlines, baggage allowances, and schedule changes.

Last Updated: January 2026 | Airline Booking Terms

This policy applies to flight reservations arranged through FlightNest. When you purchase an airline ticket or request verifiable flight itineraries for visa applications, the airline remains responsible for carriage and FlightNest acts as your booking agent.

Please read these terms carefully so you understand passenger duties, ticket restrictions, check-in timing, baggage limits, and carrier schedule rules.

! Key Flight Rules

Carrier Contract

Your ticket creates a carriage contract directly with the operating airline; FlightNest acts as booking agent.

Reconfirm Flight Times

Check outbound and return flight schedules at least 72 hours before your scheduled departure.

Arrive Early

International check-in must be completed at least 2 hours (120 minutes) prior to departure.

No-Show Risk

Missing an outbound flight will cause the airline to cancel remaining sectors, including return flights.

1 Check-In and Boarding Deadlines

Airlines operate strict check-in, bag-drop, security, and gate closing deadlines. FlightNest cannot override an airline's refusal if a passenger arrives late or misses gate closure.

  • International Flights: Complete check-in and baggage drop at least 120 minutes before departure unless your airline requires an earlier window.
  • Domestic / Regional Flights: Arrive at the airport early enough to complete all airport security formalities, normally at least 90 minutes before departure.
  • Gate Closure: Boarding gates close up to 45 minutes prior to departure; late arrivals are treated as no-shows.

2 E-Tickets & Exact Passport Names

Passenger names on tickets must match passports exactly. Even small spelling differences can lead to airline boarding refusal, amendment fees, or ticket reissuance charges.

Name Accuracy: Check all spellings, titles, dates of birth, and passport numbers prior to payment.

Ticket Delivery: Verifiable electronic tickets & PNR reservations are issued following cleared payment.

3 Baggage, Damage & Assistance

Baggage allowances depend on airline, cabin class, route, and fare type. Economy saver or promotional fares may include cabin baggage only.

  • Lost or Damaged Bags: Report baggage issues directly to the airline before leaving the airport terminal and request a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).
  • Special Assistance: Wheelchair, dietary, or mobility requests should be submitted at booking so FlightNest can notify the operating carrier.
